Magic time

My newest sigil painting is complete. I'm trying to get some decent photos in pretty poor light. This one took a particularly long time because of some interruptions that I've detailed here previously. But magic doesn't always have to take much time. In fact, some of the most effective magic, with the correct energy and intent, can take almost no real time at all.

I recently had the opportunity to do some magic for a friend. It was atypical for me because I usually only do magic for others on request and for people who know about my propensity for weird. Otherwise I just risk scaring the straights* and making people uncomfortable. In this case I made an exception and while I can't go into details about the work (client privilege essentially) I can say that it took almost no time to accomplish, but was nonetheless extremely effective.

Creating sigil painting takes a bit of time, and I can only hope the results -- both magically and aesthetically -- are worth it, but working magic can be the work of a moment. Although it's worth noting that for me this work of a moment is built on something like three decades of active magical practice.

On another note, I have my next painting planned and ready to start. The sigil in question was suggested by my kid, along with the colors and some very impressive and appropriate touches that I'm excited to try out. In addition, I will be creating a pair of painting at the same time -- a larger one for the house and a smaller one for kid's room (how can I say no after getting such good suggestions).
